All Jobber Length Drill Bits and Step Drill Bits have Split Points and come in two different materials:
- The Split Point reduces walking which is the tendency of a spinning bit to rotate away from the point at which you want to drill
- The High Speed Steel (HSS) allows the bit to cut faster than High Carbon Steel. At room temperature, HSS and high carbon steel have an equivalent hardness;
at elevated temperatures, HSS become advantageous
- The Titanium Nitride (TiN) coating is an extremely hard ceramic. It is often used as a coating on HSS to improve hardness and durability

Step Drill Bits
Self Starting Step Drill Bits offer a unique tip design which eliminates not only skidding but also the need for center punching.
The spiral flutes of RUKO high-performance
step drill bits are CBN-ground from the
solid hardened form. Because CBN
(cubical boron nitride) is a much harder
abrasive than even silicon carbide or
corundum, a better and sharper cutting
edge is achieved without burrs. Because of
this higher dimensional precision, the drills
will last considerably longer while maintaining
precise process tolerances.
Available in High Speed Steel and Titanium
Nitride-coated (TiN-coated) High Speed Steel, the
added titanium nitride coating increases
the surface hardness to approximately
2300 HV and the heat resistance to
1100°F (600°C).

Jobber Length Drill Bits
Jobber-length drills are the most common type of drill bit. The length of the flutes is ten times the diameter of the drill, meaning they will drill a hole that is 10D deep. These high performance twist drills are
suitable for all normal drilling in conventional
materials. Available in High Speed
Steel and Titanium Nitride-coated (TiN-coated) High
Speed Steel, the added titanium nitride
coating increases the surface hardness to
approximately 2300 HV and the heat
resistance to 1100°F (600°C).

Drill Bit Kits
Drill bit kits are available for step drill bit and jobber length drill bits. These convenient kits include:
- Three-piece Step Drill Bit Kit - High Speed Steel, bright finish, spiral fluted with split point.
Drill size 1: 6 steps from 3/16 to 1/2 with 1/16 increments. Shank size 1/4
Drill size 2: 13 steps from 1/8 to 1/2 with 1/32 increments. Shank size 1/4
Drill size 3: 9 steps from 1/4 to 3/4 with 1/16 increments. Shank size 3/8
- 21-Piece Jobber Length Drill Bit Set with fractional sizes from 1/16 to 3/8 in increments of 1/64,
in high-speed steel or Titanium coated (TiN) high-speed steel, 118 degrees point

Machine Taps
High speed steel (HSS) machine taps are available in nine sizes:
- 4-40 to 3/8-16 coarse UNC taps and 4-48 to 3/8-24 fine UNF thread sizes
- Spiral point, chamfer type B

Electrical Knockout Punches
Knockout punch hole-cutting tools include punch, die and draw bolt:
- 22mm and 30mm pushbutton/pilot device mounting hole sizes
- 1/2 inch to 2 inch mounting hole sizes
